"they might be great for splashing through a shallow stream or bog but I used them for four days wet wading on the Frying Pan River and they did not keep my feet dry by any means. They are not good for sustained immersion!!!! The Holy Grail of waterproof socks is still unfound. Very disappointing particularly from Simms they must not have used them in sustained submerged application, which is bad for Simms reputation."
"For quick steps in the water, they keep you’re feet dry; however, if you are portaging or in the water for more than about 10 seconds, water finds its way in then can’t escape. So, if you’re fording a small stream, they would be great."
"Every year, we go down to the gulf side of Florida to fish on a charter. The fishing in the evening off the beach is great too, but the surf tends to wash the bug spray off my feet and the sand fleas eat me alive. These were a great addition as I had no sand flea bites this year. They were water proof as well. They did run a little large, I ordered large and wear a 10. 5 shoe."

True to their claims these socks kept my feet completely dry and comfortable while standing on the front deck of my boat and fishing in the rain all morning.
