Men’s G4 Pro Review
"so far I’ve loved these boots! I’m a woman’s size 9 but with my waders on I like to wear a men’s 8 to allow for the extra room when wearing waders. These boots are extremely comfortable, lightweight and durable!"

To allow proper room for the neoprene stockingfoot, find your regular shoe size in the right-hand columns and order the corresponding Simms Wading Boot in the first column.
We have found that people successfully size their wading boots between their street shoe size and 1 full size larger (for men).
If you are a half size, then you should size up to the next full size. Women should size down for men's wading boots (ie: a women's USA shoe size 8 would take a men's wading boot size 7).

"These boots have upgraded on comfort and durability from the previous model, but I feel they have taken a major step back on grip from the hardbite cleats. With the hardbite cleats you could literally walk up a wall. These new aluminum disk shaped cleats stick out way too far. It is literally like walking on ice skates. I have slipped and fallen so many times with these. The cleat design is garbage. I'm not sure how you go so far backwards on the clean technology."

"The durability, performance and versatility of the G4 Pro is impressive. It is evident that feedback from end-users was considered in both the design of the core boot and also the accessory items. Being able to easily shift from different types of traction is a huge performance upgrade."

"Not sure how I feel about these boots. The the first few days of using them on a western trip, the cleats worked well, until some of them broke out of the boots. Once I noticed this, the slots to install the new cleats were damaged so bad from the original cleats breaking off that it was impossible to screw in the replacements. The cleats are good until they break off from wading and when the do, they become impossible to replace. Now I just have regular boots. Not sure if they're worth returning for a replacement to try one more time with these boots. I'm wondering if the new G4 boots are a result of overengineering."

"I’ve used these boots multiple times now and they are great. The power lock cleat system make it easy to go from metal cleats to boat friendly in a matter of minutes. The aluminum cleats work very well on big slick rocks."
— Steve K. (5/5)
"Great boots; I wear them almost daily in the creek the runs up against our property. They are easy on-easy off and the studs have enough grip for the mossy free stones in our creek. Boots that are comfortable After putting in miles too. As I age the miles count up faster so if you have a four mile hike in to get past the access points you may find these worth it."
— Elliot V. (5/5)
"These boots have a very nice fit and are comfortable and lighter than some of their other boots. One draw back and the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is the need to replace the aluminum cleats more often then you would think. I have to change them nearly every other trip, which means they are expensive to maintain. Sometimes they fall out as well, but this seems to happen with all manufacturers so not that big of a deal"

"Excellent boot"

"After wearing Boa Korkers for years and losing my soles a handful of times. I’m glad I made the switch to these. They feel a lot lighter and have amazing tread. Highly recommend"
— Daryl M. (5/5)
"Love the boots ! great fit, very comfortable, the power locks for the laces truly works ! the cleats exchange is simple ,the tool with it is great but you need to have some muscle and strong grip ,no problem for full time guides . That's why the name is PRO !"
