Simms G3 Guide Bootfoot
Why Simms Waders?
- Product Care
GORE-TEX® Wader Care:
The #1 tip to prolonging the life of a wader is drying your waders. It is important to dry your waders out after each use. We recommend drying the inside first (if damp) and then the outside. When drying the outside you can pull your gravel guards up until the feet are dry and then flip them down to dry the rest of the wader
Washing - Use a front load machine or hand wash. Use cold water and normal detergent that does not contain bleach. Once you have washed the waders make sure you dry them properly start by drying the inside first. Never put your waders in the dryer, the heat will adversely affect the seam tape on your waders and will void your warranty.
Fit - We offer more sizes than anyone, a good fit goes a long way to extending the life of your wader. Make it clear that people should use their exact measurements as we have already provided extra room for layering and movement.
General Care - Do not store inside your car for long periods of time excess heat will damage your waders.
Use A Mat - Always put your waders on using a protective mat to shield the neoprene feet from rocks. The Headwaters gear bag for example has a pull out mat that works great for this.
Proper Layering - Do not wear jeans under your waders. Jeans are highly abrasive wearing on your waders from the inside out. More importantly jeans and sweatpants do not transfer moisture away from the body. Use proper layering (to view our layering collection, go here). Using layers such as these will help wick moisture away from your body and assist in the waders ability to breathe.
Stains - most stain removers will work fine on our waders. As long as the stain remover does not contain bleach you should be o.k.
GORE-TEX® PRO SHELL outerwear is waterproof, exceptionally lightweight and offers the ultimate in breathability, durability and extended comfort. Constructed with a woven backer, GORE-TEX® Pro Shell garments slide easily over other layers and offer exceptional tear strength and internal abrasion-resistance.

CleanStream™ is a design philosophy that runs through our line of wading footwear. While not specific to a product feature, this designation does indicate that the product includes features and/or materials that are more resistant to "hitch-hiking" organisms – have less exposed stitching, fewer ridges & pockets and utilize non-absorbent materials – all making the boots easier to inspect, clean and dry faster. All of these elements assist anglers in doing their part to prevent the spread of invasive species. - Best Bootfoot Wader Available Review by Duck and Steelhead Hunter
OverallAfter recieving these waders, I used them while duck hunting in Eastern Washington and Oregon. I was very surprised my feet stayed very comfortable while hunting in temperatures as low as 8 degrees. My Simms Ex-Stream pants probably helped out as well. I have also used the waders fishing for winter steelhead throughout Oregon and Washington and have never experienced performance issues. Thanks for the great product!

- Not sure if they are worth the wait. Review by ajdrider
Overalli am a long time loyal customer that almost exclusively relies on Simm's for my Performance Gear. I have been through 3 pairs of boot s and waders yand always come back. Unfortunately i have been waiting since early November for these boots and now its late January with still no word on when i will get them. I bought them for winter steelhead season and now two months of it are already completed with only one or two to go. Had i know i would have purchased from another manufacturer but was continually told they should be here any day. Very dissapointing and who knows when they will show up. Thanks

- Glad the Bootfoot is Back Review by Mark
OverallI had a pair of the original Muck Boot waders. I loved them, but over the (many) years they wore out. I kept patching them until they were Aquaseal as much as they were Gore-Tex, hoping that they would last until a new bootfoot wader returned.
I could not be happier with my new G-3 bootfoot waders. It has been virtually impossible to find a quality bootfoot wader since Simms stopped making the old Muck Boots. These new waders are great.
Living in Alaska, I love the warmth, comfort and convenience of a bootfoot wader. I am glad to have a new pair and to send my Muck Boots to a well deserved retirement.

- Sizing is poor Review by Jim
OverallI am an average size man 5' 10" 180 lbs. size 9 shoe 31 inch inseam and 42 inch chest. Your waders don't fit and at $750 per pair I will not buy another pair.
[Response from Simms Customer Care Team]
Sorry to hear that Jim. I am about the same size, 5' 10", 175lbs, size 10 shoe, 31" inseam and 43" chest. I wear a LS (Large Short). I would recommend the LS or the MK (Medium King). I would probably lean towards the LS though since the inseam should fit you just right. If you need further assistance please call us at 888.585.3570 and we can walk you through it.

- Wader design...???? Review by Roccus
OverallI have a pair of Simms waders with the MUCK boot. Paid about $400 for them about 7 years ago and I have been waiting for your new offering of Simms waders in a boot foot style. Someone at Simms figured out that the Muck boot had some sort of problem so the boot foot waders were discontinued for a few years ...and I have been waiting for the new issue of waders with the boot foot. as promised by Simms reps for the past thee years....
Well I am disappointed in the looks of the boot....looks rather In-expensive.....looks like a similar boot I have had on other waders that cracks wide open after the second year of use. I wish you folks would have mentioned the boot manufacturer and the type of material the boots are made of. I waited 3 years for this product and I am rather disappointed..... Is this the best boot you could come up with...??? Sorry....No Sale....!
[Response from Simms Customer Care Team]

OverallI got my new waders this week. Thank you Simms for bringing these beauties back. As long as Simms makes boot foots, I will never wear a stocking foot wader.
