Salmon River Steel

Salmon River Steel

If you've ever fished New York's Salmon River, you know it draws a hefty crowd. To get away from the crowds, Daren Niemi hiked downstream and found an isolated run where he began swinging a weighted craft fur and spun rabbit fur streamer with an intermediate tip on a 12'6" 5/6-weight. It wasn' long before this chromer crushed the fly. Daren estimates this fish to be in the 18 lb. ball park. As always, Daren was wearing his G4Z® Waders, G3 Guide™ Boots and Rivertek Top.
